US Vets Transitional Housing

Phoenix, AZ

The work centered on critical system upgrades, including full replacement and rehabilitation of the sanitary waste  and vent systems across all fl oors, along with below-slab piping and connection to the municipal system. Roofi ng  improvements included removal of existing materials and installation of a new spray-applied polyurethane foam  roofi ng system designed to provide long-term performance and weather protection.

Additional improvements included upgrades to IDF rooms with new framing, fi nishes, mechanical systems, and  electrical components, as well as restoration of interior fi nishes impacted by ongoing infrastructure work.

Project Goals:

This project started as a competitive bid project but due to the excellent working relationship we built with city of  Phoenix and US Vets staff , phase 2 was handled in a negotiated fashion. Tennant improvements and renovations  are often best handled in a negotiated methodology like a JOC due to the variability in the scope and often the  lack of complete design drawings. We are experts in operating with limited information, staying fl exible, and  keeping the customer happy.

Project was funded using ARPA federal funds.
