BDP Contracting successfully completed the Reed Park Playground Improvements project for the City of Mesa, delivering a comprehensive upgrade to an aging public recreational facility. The project enhanced safety, accessibility, and overall user experience for the surrounding community.
The scope of work included demolition and removal of existing playground equipment and surfacing, regrading of the play area, and installation of new drainage systems. The project
also included installation of new playground equipment designed for both 2–5 and 5–12 age groups, as well as shade structures to improve usability in Arizona’s climate.
Additional improvements included ADA-compliant upgrades such as accessible ramps and the installation of engineered wood fi ber and rubberized safety surfacing, ensuring a safe and
inclusive environment for all users.
